About Us

New Hampshire Colonials was founded in 1932 on the shore of Squam Lake by Mary Armstrong. When she entered the business, Mary was just the second woman real estate broker in New Hampshire. The company still remains in the Armstrong family and is now owned by her son Jack and his wife Dana. They are committed to continue in the tradition Mary's honorable work ethics.

Along with Jack and Dana, New Hampshire Colonials five associates play an active role in their communities by participating in town, school or church committees such as planning boards, Holderness 2000, First Star, Squam Lake Natural Science Center, Old Home Day activities, the Sandwich fair, adopt a highway program, public and private area schools and the list goes on. We have one of the highest broker experience levels in the Lakes Region averaging over 20 years in the real estate business.

As Squam is the second largest lake in New Hampshire, this is a significant distinction. For the past several years our company has been involved in more Squam sales than any any other company. We are consistently a leading listing broker and have an impressive base of customers that ultimately become Squam buyers. With 75 years service on Squam Lake we have developed an enviable reputation which, quite logically, has come from our sound and proven business philosophy.
